I Will Kill Myself If...

I don't get these shoes.

Vivien Westwood for Melissa Mary Janes from the Anglomania Collection.

"The most amazing thing about this partnership was to be able to create modern products, with very high quality, for affordable prices" - Vivien Westwood.

I disagree and say that the most amazing thing about this partnership is, THESE SHOES!!

Can Anybody Get It Right??

I recently saw a few photos from the Museum of Modern Art's 40th Annual Party in the Garden, and I was actually quite shocked with how most people had dressed.  Why, when most of these people have stylists, can't they put together a simple outfit??
M.I.A. - I don't think that this was an appropriate choice for the night.
Tina Brown - This outfit doesn't seem very flattering on her figure.  A necklace may have improved her look.
Yvonne Force - This outfit did have potential, but her hair ruined it.  She should have had a nice up-do or something.
Diana Taylor - I like the dress, but something doesn't look right.  Maybe it's the dress on her?  I don't know.
Diana Widmaier - I don't like the dress, but if it was accessorized better, it could have worked.
Diane Sawyer - This outfit reminds me of something Ashley Olsen would wear (maybe because she wore something similar but less detailed to the CFDA's).  It doesn't feel right to me.
Evelyn Lauder - this is cute.  She has dressed well for her age and body type.  It feels quite innocent and perfect for almost any occasion!
Lisa Falcone - Love the dress.  Love the shoes.  Just not together.
Serena Boardman - Now, I mentioned people looking under-done.  But this, is definitely not, in fact, perhaps over-done for this event.
Diane von Furstenberg - This woman always looks amazing.  She dresses well and is confident with the woman she is.
Marie-Josée Croze - This dress could have worked, better.    Maybe it was the clutch bag, or maybe it was the hair.
Cristina Greeven Cuomo - I love this dress.  I love the colour.  I love the style.  There is only one thing I can fault.  And that is the silver clutch and shoes with the gold necklace.  Gold and silver can work together occasionally, but not here.
Claire Danes - She always looks amazing.  This dress is nice.  I love the simplicity and the colour is great, it's a nice alternative from black every once in a while.

Model Of The Moment - Tanya Dziahileva

Tanya Dziahileva.  You can't pronounce the name, yet she has worked with the designer labels that you could only dream of: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander McQueen, Anna Molinari, Aquascutum, Badgley Mischka, BCBG, Belstaff, Bill Blass, Blumarine, Carlos Miele, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Chloe, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries van Noten, Dsquared2, Elie Saab, Emanuel Ungaro, Etro, Giambattista Valli, Gaultier, Givenchy, Gucci, Hermes, Jil Sander, John Galliano, Lacoste, Lanvin, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Matthew Williamson, Marni, Missoni, Michael Kors, Miu Miu, Moschino, Narciso Rodriguez, Nina Ricci, Oscar de la Renta, Paul Smith, Prada, Rag & Bone, Ralph Lauren, Rochas, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sonia Rykiel, Valentino, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent and Zac Posen.

As I watch my daily fashion fix, I painstakingly find myself more and more in love with her, there is just something about her that captures my attention, more so than other models.  So forget Gemma Ward (Gemma, where are you???!!!), forget Agyness Deyn (we do love her but aren't we all sick to death of hearing her name?), and forget Chanel Iman.  At 17 years young, this girl has stirred up quite a storm.  From her perfectly thin body, to her long, golden locks, there is always going to be something this girl has that you want, but more depressingly, don't have.

CFDA Awards - Highlights and Lowlights

Marchesa’s Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman, in their own designs.  I have to say that I expected these two to wear something amazing, but the purple one isn't my cup of tea.  But, on a much nicer note, I love the red, and I'm not much of a 'red' person.

Maria Cornejo, in her own design.  I like this, but I'm not sure.  There's something about it that I can't quite put my finger on and I don't know what it is.  It's too plain.

Naomi Campbell, in Yves Saint Laurent, with André Leon Talley.  Where to begin, I don't even know.  Putting it nicely, no.

Nate Berkus, Rachel Zoe, and Brian Atwood.  I have no idea of the label of this dress, it is probably a vintage, but Rachel always gets it right!  This woman is amazing.  And this dress -words can't even describe - I love it.

Vera Wang, in her own design.  I have to say that if this dress was on anyone else, I would have to say no.  But in some strange way, Vera manages to pull it off quite nicely.  And I think that, possibly, because she will one day be the designer of my wedding gown.

Joy Gryson, in Costello Tagliapietra with a bag of her own design.  She looks cute, however I'm not sure about that dress.  I get the feeling that I have seen it a million times before.  And the fabric it not suited to this design, see how it is slightly creased at the front?  Maybe it's just the fabric that puts me off, but that dress, shortened to where the fold/pleat ends with some chunky black pumps... ohhh yes.

Tom Ford and Kim Cattrall, in Monique Lhuillier.  Kim Cattrall looks nice, I feel as though the dress seemed a bit 'resort' for such an important event.  It is nice that she hasn't gone and over-done it, as most seem to do when they get older.

Lil' Kim in Marc Jacobs.  Why she was there I do not even know.  If I didn't lose respect for MJ before, I certainly did when I saw this photo, Lil' Kim makes Marc Jacobs look trashy (as well as Victoria Beckham, but I wont go there, it is far too complicated).

Lisa Cant, in Behnaz Sarafpour, with the designer.  I would like to say yes about Behnaz Sarafpour's purple dress, but to me, it's the ruffles.  If you are going to do ruffles you either go all-out and OTT or you do quite the opposite, and it seems that this dress in in between.  Lisa Cant, however, looks fabulous.  The dress is perfect and the shoes are a great match.

Marc Jacobs with Victoria Beckham, in his design.  No.  That is all I can say.  The dress may be alright (and I say that reluctantly) but Victoria Beckham ruins anything she touches.

Doo-Ri Chung, in her own design.  I love everything about this!  The dress is gorgeous and even though the shoes aren't the same colour, they look perfect with it.  Doo-Ri's hair and makeup look great with the whole outfit.

Michael and Nicole Colovos (Helmut Lang) with Irina Lazareanu (centre),  in their design.  Irina always looks great.  I love the dress, but I remain undecided on the shoes.  They provide some contrast with the dress, however I would have chosen some shoes with more geometrical shape.

Michael Kors with Hilary Duff, in his design.  I'm sorry but there is nothing I like about this outfit.  Did she get dressed in the dark?  Those shoes are horrible with that dress.  (I am not even going to comment on the dress, or the way that the camera-angle is particularly unflattering to her upper body).

Hilary Rhoda, in Proenza Schouler.  This girl knows how to dress.  In my opinion, you can never go wrong with black.  Ever.  Everything looks amazing: hair, check.  Dress (fabulous, I might add), check.  Shoes, check.  Hilary, check!

James Mischka and Mark Badgley with Hana Soukupova, in Badgley Mischka.  This dress is absolutely amazing - need I say more?

Betsey Johnson.  There isn't much I can say - I mean, it's Betsey Johnson!  She never gets it wrong.

Perer Som and Caroline Trentini, in Peter Som for Bill Blass.  This outfit looks nice.  As this dress is quite a statement piece, Caroline Trentini has done well in not over-doing it, which is nice to see.  The shoes fit the outfit perfectly.

Chanel Iman with Italo Zucchelli (Calvin Klein).  This dress is amazing.  I love the colour and the detailed beading.  It looks amazing on her skin tone but I think that it is a bit old for her, she has a young face and I think that the dress is a bit more mature than her.

Charles Nolan with Alina Locklear, in his design.  This dress is very cute.  It is very detailed without being too over-done.

Daiane Conterato and Jen Brill, both in Proenza Schouler.  These dresses are cute also.  Personally, my favourite is the one that Daiane Conterato is wearing.  This girl is amazing and she brings her own look to the dress.

Aerin Lauder, in Proenza Schouler.  Love the dress, would have picked some different shoes though.

Alexander Wang and Erin Wasson, in his own design.  Poor Erin Wasson - she looks amazing never-the-less!

Amy Fine Collins, in Ralph Rucci Chado Haute Couture.  I'm not sure what she was thinking when she decided to wear this.

Ashley Olsen, in Calvin Klein.  I am a bit undecided on this.  This outfit makes her look very old.  Personally, I am not a fan of those pants, but I feel the outfit has come together quite nicely.  And I would have thought that Ashley Olsen would have chosen better shoes for this outfit!

Linda Fargo, in Calvin Klein Collection.  I like this.  She had complemented the outfit nicely and the colours look good on her skin tone.
