Thank God For Jane Birkin!

The Hermes Birkin.

Ultimately, it is a hard decision between the Birkin and the Kelly [below], but the Birkin comes out on top.

The Kelly screams sophisticated and classical, while the Birkin is still sophisticated but a little more demure, casual and less business like. It can be dressed up, and down. It has been said that the Kelly is one, for, let's call her, the mature woman, whilst the other, the Birkin, is more for the younger woman. However I beg to disagree.

I try to think up my favourite combination. It would would have to be the Chocolate Lizard or the Chocolate Ostrich.

And I then begin to think, "How could Hermes possibly go wrong with ANY combination?" That is when it hits me, I think back to the release of the Pink Ostrich Skin Birkin.

Suddenly the thought of Victoria Beckham carrying it whilst wearing that matching, pink ($2,000) Roland Mouret Moon dress begins to make my stomach churn.

And the way Heidi Klum just strolled down the street carrying it whilst wearing a baseball cap!

I think that I will kindly pass up the offer for the pink ostrich skin one – actually any pink handbag for that matter (mind you, the pink Miu Miu seems quite passable to me)

The Saltwater Crocodile Skin Birkin is also nice, excluding the price tag! It is said to be one of the most expensive Birkin's available!

But any offerings for the Chocolate Lizard (or for that matter, any other one) and I will gladly be at your service.

Although, I have begun to think that Hermes did not go wrong at all, it was WHO wore it, and HOW they wore it. Yes. I believe that that is correct.
